Jake started working at Family Capital Management in the spring of 2019, as an intern while going to school at Grand Valley State University. For over a year, Jake learned many different aspects of the business at FCM, which include investing, planning, client relations, and much more. Jake was hired full-time in the fall of 2020 as a Financial Planning Associate. Jake’s passions come from wanting to continually learn about personal finance each day so he can strive to help clients reach their goals in any way possible, all while creating lasting relationships.
Outside of FCM, Jake loves to be active outdoors by running, golfing, and spending time at his family cottage in Ludington, MI. He loves watching all sports, particularly Michigan State basketball and football.
Jake graduated in the Spring of 2020 from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in both Finance & Accounting. Outside of the classroom, he enjoyed being a member of the Seidman IPO club. Here, he learned a more in-depth side of investing by helping run a student-led portfolio with his peers. Jake currently plans to start studying for his Securities Industries Essentials License and his Series 7 License at the beginning of 2021.
